to brown and rust,

and fall off the trees.
October Fair

The October Fair takes place in Ballinasloe every year.

In the past it was an agricultural fair.

Lisbon Treaty Referendum

In a referendum in 2008,

the Irish people rejected the Lisbon Treaty.

we have the same referendum all over again!
The Bounty visits Ireland

A mutiny took place aboard the Bounty in 1789 when it's captain, William Bligh was deposed.

This ship is a reconstruction of the Bounty. It was built in 1960 and is 1/3 larger than the original vessel.

This is the ship used in the 1962 film "Mutiny on the Bounty".

The Bounty visited Ireland in September 2009.
